Last week, Governor Pritzker announced a plan for reopening the state of Illinois in five phases. Throughout the last several weeks, our leadership team at The Branch has been in continuous conversations regarding when and how our church building should reopen—and rest assured, we are actively working toward that end.

We eagerly look forward to the day when we can open our doors to gather again, but in the meantime our first priority continues to be for the health and safety of those in our church family and community. We will continue to inform our decisions in the coming weeks with the most up-to-date data from global health organizations, as well as our governing authorities.

In preparation for what’s next, we have made investments in our audio and video equipment to continue our online services. We are revisiting and reviewing our building spaces, cleaning protocols, and wellness policies to make sure we are ready as our state moves toward phases 3 and beyond.

And now, as always, we set our eyes on things above. While we continue to work out the details of what’s next, we place our hope and our trust in the Lord, and we remain confident, because we know that no power will prevail against Christ and his Church. We are encouraged and overjoyed by our church’s continued generosity and engagement with our online services and digital resources. We thank God for each and every one of you.
